Sara and Andy were married on August 30, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling, IL. The flowers which highlighted the alter were a sneak peek of the grandiuer to come at the reception. Guest book table arrangement and unity candle reflected the use of some modern design techniques. The center aisle was swagged with tulle and flower petals.
The mothers carried a bouquet of fresh gardenias and lily of the valley. The bridesmaid's bouquets were hand-tied gardenias, white roses, hydrangeas, and stock.
You know you're
getting the "star treatment" with all the little extra
"Katy touches". A grand entrance to the tent was framed with dendrobium orchids and an overhead arrangement of roses, orchids and snapdragons. The bridal party arrived and received the "white carpet " treatment all the way up the hill to the tent.
A floating centerpiece adorned the swimming pool and another smaller,complimentary one in the hottub. Cocktail tables topped with orchids and votives created the atmosphere preceding dinner.
Four styles of centerpieces were used. 3 foot tall square vases with cymbidium orchids inside were the bases for grand arrangements reaching another 3 feet high. Vases of giant white hydrangeas, Cymbidium orchids and floating candles were placed at some of the tables. The remainder of the tables had vases of white roses arranged with votive candles.
