Katy is now booking weddings for 2024 and 2025. Her designs are quickly becoming known as the Sauk Valley’s newest, most innovative. Katy takes pride in listening to her brides- learning their style- then implementing their dreams to reality. You can be assured she’ll cover everything down to the last detail. Katy graduated from the University of Illinois in 2003 with a degree in Greenhouse Management. It was there that she learned of her love for floral design, while taking electives in her major. After graduating, her dream to start her own part of the Selmi tradition was realized. She began her Floral Design Career in 2003 and has not looked back. She has since earned her Certification as Illinois Professional Florist, the Design for Excellence Course at the Phil Rulloda School of Floral Design and is recently was inducted into the Floral Industry's  AIFD, equivalent to a Master's Degree in Floral Design.
